Question: Scientists say only 12 months…. what do you think?
Answer: Are you speaking of the "feeling" of love: the butterflies and the heart palpitations? That really heavy stuff may last about 12 months. Real love, not just the "feeling" can last a lifetime. The butterflies come and go but with real love the "feelings" stick around for the most part. Sometimes you don't feel it as strong as other times but you know it's still there.
i don't believe that someone can fall out of love, when u love someone, u don't just stop loving them. u may hate them, but there will always be a part of u that loves them.

Not true, My mother and father loved each other from the age of 10 till she died last year at 79. He's still loves her, so the saying go's….

Scientists generally have never been in true eros-type love before, not to mention Agape love so they would be the last people I would turn to for that answe(It's kinda like asking someone in a bar how to quit drinking)
I beg to differ. I have a freind. She use to be my lover. I have known her going on 10 years now. I love her with all my heart to this day!

The "in love" part of a relationship is limited and may only last a few years. In a good relationship, a deeper "friendship" love develops, which can last a lifetime. With the right person, you can fall "in love" over and over again as the years pass. But the love that matters is deep love, not the heady silliness of being in love that so many people are attracted to.
you never know how long love well last you just got to take it as it comes…i wouldnt rush it…
Human feelings are always changing or fluctuating. We can not say a feeling last for ever. As a feeling 'Love' may change or cease. But, if your Love towards someone is a 'Decision to Love' and 'to Love for ever'. It won't change. Love should be a 'Decision to Love'
