What a great dating question:
Question: None of my friends or i can figure this guy out. I work next to a very wealthy top of his league hosptial consultant. He is 49 and single. His partner died 2yrs ago. He is earning at least one million per year. Hes gorgous. Hes into art and on the board of several charities. There are stunning woman working here, all would offer themselves up to him and lots of them are very sophisticated and on his level, intellectually and would be wealthy woman. Hes friendly to us but never flirtatious. This is just baffling. Theres is a very pretty girl in a typing pool. I have to say i’m hetro and i find her sexy!. She started 3 months ago. She is 26 and is a great artist. Him and her are always talking and discussing ‘art’. She sits with him in the canteen (undone unless you are a doc) and people have said he seems to fancy her. Surely, a 49yr old top consultant is not going to date the typing pool girl? Yesterday evening i saw her sitting in the drivers seat of his new car (which costs more than most people’s homes). Her and him were sharing some joke which they both seemed to find hilarious. Later, I heard rumours they were seen together in a restaurant. What the hell is going on. This dumb typing pool ditz cannot be turning his head…apart from a quick s.ag right?
Answer: I think you shouldn’t be so narrow minded. Someone sounds a bit jealous to me….
There could be a number of reasons, here’s just one:
He lost his partner which could’ve been a really close relationship and, he might think the only thing I really want now is physical not the intellectual, meaningful relationship he may have had before.
I know if my wife past away; I doubt I would find another like her; I would look for something probably younger and simply more physical; this is probably why you see a lot of older guys with younger women.
Oh, don’t get all high and mighty about this; me and my wife have discussed this before. She says she would just stay single; as I was the only one for her, I doubt this but, say ok.
I think it has something to do with men just not wanting to be alone.
