How Do I Get over the End of a Relationship, and Move On? …its Day 3, and Im in Pieces?

What’s this week’s question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question:
Just to add, im 40, and i really thought he was my soul mate.
Thank you for all the kind advice, its much appreciated, and i am making plans to get out this weekend, and be as positive as i can. xx
Answer: It won't be easy and there's no overnight process to help you deal with it. It will be immpossible to move on after only 3 days, and the fact that you are feeling so bad just shows how much you cared for the person. Make sure that you spend plenty of time with your family and friends to take your mind off of it, and also they will be able to talk it through with you and help you. Make sure that you are kept busy and have fun and in time you will get over it.

Do You Think, in Modern Relationships and This “day and Age”, That Infidelity is Inevitable?

A tough relationships question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: I've recently been tested to the limit while my girlfriend has been away on vacation. While being a man I am not necessarily used to the attention, I was surprised at how little it effected women when I told them I had a girlfriend! These days it's accepted part of society and seems to be everywhere in the movies…. is it a case of WHEN rather than IF? I hope not - but am I being neiave?
Blimey - what a response. Don't get me wrong - I am the faithful type. I do however see infidelity constantly. I worked with a girl who told EVERYONE in the office that she was in love with the man of her dreams. We were close and even though their relationship was as perfect as she thought, she still slept with someone in the company. That's not temptation alone. I'm also close to a married woman and one of her primary life goals was to have an affair!
..I've had people cheat on me plenty of times… I've even had "It's not cheating if it's only a snog/friend/boss/famous person"

I don't agree - do you?

Answer: that's a good question you have there…finally, someone to make me think!!!
you know, the older the world gets, the worse it seems to get…people were so much wiser back in the early 1900's…and even before that…except for the whole slavery and holocaust thing…
i think there is still for a good relationship…society does play a huge role in how the general people think and act and that's a shame…movies, movie stars…they all in some way promote infidelity as being "cool"…it's like they're a cult, drawing in the stupid people who think it's ok to just trample on other people's feelings as long as they get what they want…
i think it's a problem that people don't know what they want…they don't stop to think if what they think they want is really what they want…immediate gratification…
i don't think infidelity is inevitable…it's something that's always existed and will continue to exist…but i believe there are still people out there who are mature enough to either leave a relationship they don't want (instead of cheating) or stay and work through the problems…
no one likes to work hard at something and a relationship is probably one of the hardest things we'll ever have to work hard at…b/c people's feelings change so often…i don't think you're being naive…i believe that it's possible to have a good, honest, faithful relationship, despite what society thinks is cool…
don't give up…

Great Marriage/Relationship?

What’s this week’s relationships question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: It seems there is alot of people out there having problems with their partner/spouse. I love my husband more and more everyday and I think we have the best relationship ever. Does anyone else feel this? Its nice to hear nice things sometimes.
Answer: My wife is my best friend, the coolest person I know.
We talk, we hold hands. We love. We both have two children from previous relationships, I love the way the kids smile when they catch us kissing or chasing each other around the house and pinching bums.
We are a team, we both do laundry, we both cook, we both care for our kids.
I love her every moment.

I Need to Understand My Partner As He is Schizophrenic and As Much As I Love Him a Relationship is Impossible?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: what are symptoms
Answer: Find out about it much as you can and this will help with understanding him and what he's going through, get him to talk to you about how he feels, this can help too. If your love is as strong as you proclaim then you can both get through a normal life together, good luck.

Mixed Feelings on My Relationship?

I just love answering these relationships questions. Here’s another:

Question: can someone give me some advice i am engaged in a relationship but i have never been in a proper relationship before and i do not know how i can get used to it as i have been so used in the past can someone help me to maintain this relationship and feel happier too , i already suffer from depression which so far i am trying to cope with anyone else in a similar situation, i know deep down inside somewhere i can love the guy i am with as the guy whats to spend the rest of his life with me
Answer: Best thing I can tell you is to take it one day at a time. Don't allow yourself to feel so overwhelmed, honey. I too have suffered from depression and the very best thing you can do is to not get drowned in all the emotions. You have a man who loves you, who seems to understand what's going on, otherwise he wouldn't have asked you in the first place. Try and realize that love is one of those things you have to take a chance on and sometimes it'll help cure what hurts.
