Should I Set Myself Up on Internet Dating?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: My father and sister came to me and suggested that I give it a go. I'm 22, british male and have been single quite a while now.
Thing is, I'm not sure about it. I always considered internet dating to be a very desperate measure, a last resort if u will. My opinion is the only people who apply r those who have little to nothing to offer (I apolagise if I insult anyone with these words).
I probably have nothing myself to offer any young ladies, but I'm not sure if I want throw in the towel and admit that.

Answer: give it a go, after all waht have you got to lose, you dont have to stop other dating methods, so you are just adding to you chances

Question: Is It Generally Considered Socially Acceptable to Marry Someone You Meet on an Internet Dating Website?

Answer: The Internet is the 'New Pub'. Apart from the obvious differences between the pub and the Internet, the one big difference is that a girl needed be afraid of getting a date rape drug slipped into her drink.

As long as folk are aware of the dangers the Internet can hold, there is nothing wrong and I think it will become increasing acceptable to do your courting (old fashioned word) on line.

Question: Can anybody give advice on how to get the best outcome from On-line dating? Any advice, ettiquette, humour, scary no-no's etc appreciated, particularly from anybody with personal experience.

Answer: Meet face to face as soon as possible…

- the more you leave to your imagination…the greater the disappoinment.

- meet in a public place in the day time and go from there.

My experience has been that the woman is different than what I pictured…or different from her picture itself.

"Trying to quit" equates to smoking fiend.

"No drug problems" equates to habitual drug user

"Social drinker" equates to alcoholic social retard.

"average build" equates to "HUGE" with eating disorder.

"spontaneous" equates to Impulsive with Borderline Personality Disorder

"Likes Candles" - Psychotic danger

"What you see is what you get" means…
what you don't see is also what you get.

hehe

all that aside…meet as soon as possible…so you know what you get and you haven't divested nor invested yourself emotionally.

Answer: It's a process by which you start chatting with someone, find out you have quite a lot in common, and before you know it, you're so looking forward to chatting with that person you're neglecting sleep, food, personal hygiene, etc…..

You convince yourself you're 'in love', and you arrange to meet. This is when the bubble bursts, when you find you can't stand each other's company……

What a great internet dating question:

Question: It seems internet dating is pretty interesting since itâs most safe sitting behind a computer and dreaming of someone may or may not exist, and then be surprise (badly) on a rendezvousâ¦ A live adult game and all that.

Answer: I share your skepticism of internet dating, but know several couples that have met that way. One couple is living together, another got married, and a few others dated and then became good friends.

Go figure.
